Walser to replace Campbell at the beginning of session

Friday, January 6, 2017, Anchorage, Alaska - The Alaska House Republicans today announced that Mallory Walser will assume the role of press secretary for the caucus. She will begin a few days prior to the start of the 30th Legislative Session.

"We look forward to Mallory sharing her media experience with our House Republican Caucus," Republican Leader Charisse Millett, R-Anchorage, said. "Her extensive travel throughout the state and knowledge of Alaska's resource development will be a great addition to our team."

During the past six years Walser has worked in television news, primarily as a reporter covering crime, court, resource development, and farming. Her career in broadcast began in Minnesota and brought her to Alaska.

Originally from Northern California, Walser graduated from California State University Stanislaus with a Bachelor of Arts in communication studies and a minor in journalism.

Walser will be replacing outgoing Press Secretary Jeremiah Campbell who has been in the press office for six years. He is leaving to pursue a career in air traffic control.
