Rep. Dan Saddler Honored as a Guardian of Small Business
The National Federation of Independent Business award for his commitment to job creation and economic growth
Thursday, July 26, 2018, Eagle River, Alaska – The National Federation of Independent Business/Alaska bestowed its highest honor, “Guardian of Small Business,” on Rep. Dan Saddler (R-Eagle River) during a special ceremony in his hometown on Wednesday, July 25.
“When small businesses succeed, Alaska succeeds,” said Rep. Saddler. “That is why I have always prioritized Alaska’s small business owners and employees, the bedrock of our economy. The proper role of state government is to encourage the creation and prosperity of small businesses, by not weighting them down with bureaucratic red tape and harmful, job killing legislation.”
NFIB Alaska officials praised Representative Saddler’s knowledge of the legislative process, strong relationships inside the capitol building, and ability to articulate the needs and concerns of independent businesses in committee and on the house floor as justification for receiving the annual award.
The award was presented by NFIB member and Eagle River business owner Chuck Homan at the Chugiak-Eagle River Women in Business monthly luncheon. A photo of Rep. Saddler and Mr. Homan with the award is attached to this news release.
NFIB is a nonpartisan, non-profit organization dedicated to representing America’s small business owners in all 50 states and Washington D.C. for more than 75 years.
